What did the Representation of the People Act grant?

Gave the vote to women over 30 with qualifications and gave all men over 21 the vote

The main idea is that the 1918 Representation of the People Act widened who could vote, but kept age and property limits. It gave the vote to all men over 21, expanding male suffrage significantly. For women, it allowed voting for those over 30 who met a property qualification (including many who were married to men with property). It did not grant 18-year-olds the vote, nor did it grant voting rights to all women or everyone regardless of property. This combination—men over 21 plus women over 30 with qualifications—is exactly what the act delivered, which is why the option describing both groups is the best fit.

Gave the vote to women over 21

Extended suffrage to all citizens over 18

Gave voting rights only to male property owners
